Payment Methods for Canadian Poker Players
It is easy for Canadians to deposit funds into their poker accounts? It is actually a lot easier than you may think. Many online poker players from Canada may have been spooked when NETeller, FirePay, ePassporte and now Moneybookers have left the Canadian market, but there isn't much to fear at all. Read our reviews and rankings on the most popular payment options for us Canadians and where they are accepted.
Top Payment Methods
#1 Credit Cards:
Accepted everywhere of course, but occasionally your
credit card may deny a purchase at an online poker room. We have
found that if you talk to your credit card company, they will eventually
let you transfer money into your poker account.
#2 Instadebit: Not accepted everywhere, but can be found at some of the best poker sites. Might become much more popular now that Moneybookers bans poker players from Canada.
#3 Click2Pay: Was never a big processor in Canada, but was popular in the USA for a few months after the NETeller ban on Americans. Its no longer available for the U.S., but still accepted here. Fees are decent and service is good. Accepted at Pokerstars.com.
#4 EcoCard: Same story as Click2Pay. PDC Poker allows deposits with your Eco Card.
#5 Western Union: High fees, but the poker rooms will usually pay the cost. Use this option if you do not have a credit card and are only a casual player. Poker Stars allows Western Union payments.
